Antonio Conte makes promise to Tottenham squad if they beat Chelsea

Antonio Conte has given his Tottenham players added incentive to beat Chelsea this weekend by promising them extra time off next week as a reward, according to reports.

The north Londoners are unbeaten in their first nine Premier League matches under the Italian coach, though they lost to Chelsea in both legs of their Carabao Cup semi-final with an aggregate score of 3-0.

Sunday’s latest trip presents a huge opportunity for Spurs, though, who would move five points behind the Blues with four games in hand if they win, dragging Thomas Tuchel’s side into the top-four race.
