Antonio Conte highlights Manchester United 'struggle' as he gives verdict on race for top four

Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte believes Manchester United are still in contention for a place in the top four despite 'struggling' this season in the Premier League.

Son Heung-min's brace and Kurt Zouma's own goal were enough for Spurs to see off West Ham at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in a Champions League-place showdown on Sunday. The win for the Italian's side moves them above both the Hammers and United.

Despite Spurs' dramatic recent defeat to United, their victory over West Ham took them to within three points of fourth spot. As it stands, Ralf Rangnick's men sit four points adrift.

"You know very well my thoughts about the fourth place for the Champions League," Conte said, speaking to Sky Sports. "Usually there are four teams in England and, in my opinion, they are better than the other - I'm talking about [Manchester] City, [Manchester] United, Chelsea and Liverpool.

"But if there is one of these teams that fail the season and miss to stay in the fourth place, I think that in this moment, Arsenal, Tottenham, West Ham, they are to be ready until the end. Very close, you know very well, anything can happen, especially in England in this league.

"Last season, Liverpool struggled a lot, now Manchester United struggle but we know in this moment, Arsenal has a big advantage. At the same time, we have a game here against Arsenal and we will see."
