Tottenham boss Antonio Conte fears Manchester United threat in top-four battle

Antonio Conte is still fearing a challenge from Manchester United as the race for the top four appears to be going down to the wire.

Conte's Tottenham Hotspur currently occupy fourth as they aim to reach the Champions League next season. They are sit on 54 points and boast the best goal difference of all challengers, though Arsenal are level on points and have a game in hand.

West Ham are sixth, three points behind Tottenham having also played a game more, ahead of United who are seventh and with a significant -7 goal difference deficit on Spurs. Outsiders for the final Champions League place are Wolves, who sit five points off Spurs and have played an extra game.

But when asked on Thursday in his pre-match press conference if the north London derby between Spurs and Arsenal will decide who makes the top four, the Italian was quick not to rule any contenders. "But every game, if you win you get three points," the experienced manager said.

"At the moment, we need to win to get three points because if you do it means your table improves. You start to pressure on your opponents, the other teams that are in the same position as you, who are in the same race for the fourth place.

"In this moment until the end there's Arsenal, United, West Ham and also Wolverhampton, who are in a good position. I think it's important to win derbies, important to win specific games but I think that it's important to win every time, especially in the last part of the season.
