The McDonald's Chicken Big Mac is gone, but fans can't get enough of this fakeaway

It was fun while it lasted but the Chicken Big Mac was taken off the menu again at McDonald's this week.

After selling out in just 10 days when it originally launched on February 2, it was taken off due to such high demand.

It then made a return on March 2 but was back for a limited time only, until March 15, or until stocks last.

However fans of the burger need not fear, as one woman has come up with her own fakeaway recipe and that too is proving just as popular.

Food and lifestyle blogger Latoyah Egerton shared the recipe after the Chicken Big Mac was first taken off the menu, giving customers the chance to 'make your own delicious and lower calorie version at home'.

"This tasted so much better than the real thing," she told followers of her Sugar Pink Food: Slimming Recipes by Latoyah Facebook page.

And she's been inundated with requests from hundreds of people wanting her recipe.

"Could I have the recipe pls! I missed out on getting the real deal but I'm sure I would prefer this version anyway," said one.

"Omg I need this like now!" said another.

Latoyah, who started her page 'to collate healthy, low calorie, low fat and low sugar recipes which I created, said: "I was super excited when I heard about the Chicken Big Mac, but when I tried it out for myself I was left feeling disappointed. This inspired me to create my own fakeaway version, which is better for you and tastes amazing.

"When I first posted the recipe it had hundreds of likes within 30 minutes of posting, and loads of people have messaged me and said they've found a new firm favourite that they can enjoy at home, even when it's no longer on the
