Ansu Fati addresses his Barcelona future amid Manchester United transfer links

Barcelona winger Ansu Fati has admitted that he wants to stay at the club for "many more years" amid ongoing reports linking him with a move to Manchester United.

The highly-rated 20-year-old stepped off the bench during last Thursday's Europa League clash between Barcelona and United at Camp Nou. He has developed at a rapid rate and is frequently described as one of the most exciting youngsters in the world.

Despite not turning 21 until October this year, Fati has already cemented himself as a regular fixture at Camp Nou, making 91 appearances for the club. He has also chipped in with six goals and three assists in 33 appearances this season in all competitions.

His impressive performances have resulted in plenty of speculation about his future, with several reports from elsewhere claiming that United are interested in bringing him to Old Trafford this summer. However, the Spain international has played down talk of an exit from Barcelona, outlining just how much he is enjoying his time at the current La Liga table-toppers.

"I'm under contract with Barcelona until June 2027 and I hope to stay here for many more years," said Fati, as quoted by Goal. "I feel grateful and lucky to play for Barca and I have to thank the people who support me daily for their backing."

After starting last week's draw with United on the bench, Fati will have ambitions of being awarded a starting berth by head coach Xavi when Barcelona travel to Old Trafford for the return leg on Thursday. He started their 2-0 win over Cadiz on Sunday evening and he'll be hoping to keep hold of his place on the left-wing.
