Ange's Celtic tactics were COPIED after Rangers triumph as EFL boss admits Postecoglou pep talk changed everything

Ange Postecoglou's unapologetic style of play at Celtic was so impressive to one boss, he decided to implement it at his team.

It's a trait that has translated to the infancy stages of the 57-year-old's Tottenham spell, as he settles in to life in the big time of the English Premier League. And while Hoops fans won't quickly forget some of the electric play on display, it took one manager by surprise so much that he changed his own way of thinking.

Plymouth Argyle boss Steven Schumacher admits he took in the Viaplay Cup final win over rivals Rangers in February that saw Postecoglou lift trophy number one of three last campaign. And the young English gaffer is taking his newly-promoted side to the challenge of the Championship, with The Pilgrims producing an upset 6-2 win over Norwich City.

But it's in the style of Plymouth's 4-3-3 formation, a golden ticket for Postecoglou at Parkhead, that fans are seeing the results of the all-out approach. And Schumacher revealed a chat with the Aussie convinced him it was a worth a go at the same system at Home Park.
