Ange Postecoglou sees Celtic glory recognised as Tottenham boss nominated for FIFA Best Coach award

Ange Postecoglou's accomplishments at Celtic have been recognised by FIFA as he's been nominated for coach of the year.

The Aussie has been put in to the upper echelon of world football management alongside Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola after they secured a quadruple, Napoli’s Luciano Spalletti who is now the Italy coach, Inter Milan’s Simone Inzaghi and Barca’s Xavi. The parameters for the award take in the period between December 2022 and August 2023, as Postecoglou signed off at Celtic with a domestic Treble before joining Tottenham in June.

Postecoglou may have had a somewhat up and down start to life in London, but has his chance to impress an international jury compromising of the current coaches of all men’s national teams, the current captain of all men’s national team and a specialist journalist from each region represented. All of whom get one vote each in the award.

Fans will also go into the stage of the voting process on FIFA’s digital platforms between today and midnight on Friday 6th October. It comes after the 57-year-old made history last season for being the first Aussie to manage in the Champions League.
