Ange Postecoglou 'rated' at Manchester City as Celtic hero Chris Sutton draws Arsene Wenger comparison

Manchester City are reportedly tracking Ange Postecoglou closely as the Australian stands on the brink of a league title at Celtic.

And concerns he couldn't do it at the top level have been firmly dismissed by Chris Sutton, who sees parallels with Arsene Wenger before he joined Arsenal.

Postecoglou has overseen a dramatic Parkhead turnaround and Sunday's victory over Rangers leaves them six points clear heading into the final six games.

Having already clinched the Premier Sports Cup, a domestic treble is well within their reach in the Australian's debut season in Scotland.

He was known to City long before he joined Celtic having managed Yokohama F. Marinos under the City Football Group umbrella.

And according to journalist Rory Smith on BBC Radio 5 Live, his star is on the rise at the Premier League champions with senior figures within the club seriously rating him.
