Ange Postecoglou praises four Manchester United players after draw vs Tottenham

Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou admitted his side were always wary of the threat posed by Marcus Rashford, Rasmus Hojlund, Alejandro Garnacho and Bruno Fernandes after the draw at Old Trafford.

Manchester United led twice in their Premier League meeting with Spurs on Sunday with Hojlund and Rashford on target for the home side. Goals from Richarlison and Rodrigo Bentancur ensured Postecoglou's side left Old Trafford with a point, with Spurs retaining their eight-point lead on United in the table.

Erik ten Hag will lament his team's inability to hold onto a lead, but the sight of two of his forwards finding the back of the net did offer a silver lining to the performance. Postecoglou revealed after the game that his side were wary of Rashford and Hojlund while he also namechecked Fernandes and Garnacho when highlighting United's biggest threat.

"Manchester United in transition are still a very good team, they've got players like Rashford, Hojlund, Garnacho and Bruno so they can unlock any defence," he told Sky Sports after the game. "They are always going to be a threat but it didn't faze the boys and all year they've been really good at dealing with adversity and not letting it impact our performances."

When asked if he was expecting United to play on the counter, Postecoglou replied: "You don't know, that's where their strengths lie, absolutely. We knew if we made a mistake there was always that threat.
