Ange Postecoglou left cringing as 'Happy Days' tune played in Tottenham presser before boss offers praise to The Fonz

Former Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou was left judging the English patter and cringing harder than ever before - with the 'Happy Days' theme tune being played out loud in his press conference.

Postecoglou has talked up the programme as one his all-time favourite TV shows - and the Aussie boss will have been delighted to have met one of his childhood heroes when Henry 'The Fonz' Winkler sent him a message earlier in the week following a great start to life in London.

The ex-Hoops gaffer has his Tottenham side second in the Premier League, and they could go top of the league for a little over 24 hours with a win over Luton Town in the early kick-off on Saturday lunchtime. But as he continues to lap up the media praise coming his way, he couldn't quite believe his ears when Sky reporter Gary Cotterill starting playing the Happy Days theme tune out loud, with Ange unsure where to look.

Cotterill said: "I know you don't want to talk about 'The Fonz' again, but you could go top of the league this weekend...", before he started playing the Happy Days theme tune out loud for all to hear.

It left Postecoglou with his head in his hands, visibly cringing to the bone until the song finished. The Aussie replied: "Wow.. Firstly, can I say - what a gentleman Henry Winkler is.

"He sent me a message and I'm truly chuffed by that. I said during the week, sometimes you get disappointed when you meet your heroes but what a great gentleman. If he does send me a photo, I'll put it on my wall despite the protestations of my wife.

"If we win, we go top of the table for 24 hours but who cares? We have got to win. It's a tough game, and our focus will be on putting on a performance and if we don't, it doesn't matter where we're sitting - it will
