Ange Postecoglou is a Celtic one trick pony and he's trailblazing but not in the way Chris Sutton thinks - Hotline

Record Sport columnist Chris Sutton may want Ange Postecoglou crowned Manager of the Year already but the Hotline was having none of it.

There was a general consensus that the Celtic boss is still a Premiership title away from gaining personal plaudits of his own.

Frank McFerran, Carrickfergus, said: "I had to laugh at Sutton’s comments saying that Ange has done enough already to get the manager of the year award. Ange is a one trick pony, how long was he in Europe?"

Andy Adams, Kirkcaldy, said: "Sutton really does talk some absolute rubbish, how can Ange win manager of the year if Rangers win the league? The votes are in before the Scottish Cup Final, so you can't expect to win it because you won the League Cup, he even says he's not being biased. Silly me, of course he's not."

Ian Strang, emailed: "I had to laugh at Sutton's statement about handing Postecoglou the Manager of the Year award now.

"You don't win these awards for getting knocked out of three European competitions in one season."

Gordon Ashley, Ayr, said: "Rangers are being given more penalties than Celtic every season even when we are top of the table and it needs to be looked into at the highest level.
