Ange Postecoglou and his 3 Tottenham transfer aims that allay Celtic raid fears as £110m fees show different universe

There's talk of a raid on Celtic in the works - but all Tottenham's business and rumours so far seem to suggest anything but.

That's not to say there won't be interest. After all, the kings of Scotland are just off the back of their fifth domestic Treble in eight years, but reports that Kyogo Furuhashi, Reo Hatate and Cameron Carter-Vickers are being lined up as targets for former boss Ange Postecoglou at Spurs seem to be growing further and further into the background with every passing done deal klaxon and rumour.

Starting in Hatate's technician position of midfield, and Tottenham already have a man signed in that area, James Maddision arriving from Leicester for a reported price of £40m. Up front and while Kyogo wouldn't come cheap, CalcioMercato claim that Postecoglou is also eyeing Dusan Vlahovic as uncertainty surrounds Harry Kane's future. The £69.6m fee that took him to Juventus 18 months ago is an insight into the type of fee they'd likely have to pay.

Then attention turns to centre-back, where the 57-year-old's also looking at options. ButFootball London has suggested Tottenham will turn to Wolfsburg's Micky van de Ven if they can’t sign Edmond Tapsoba this summer. So far, Postecoglou has also made Dejan Kulusevski's loan permanent and captured goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario.

So that would appear to leave Carter-Vickers some way down the list of options. Rumours will continue to circulate the Celtic stars though, with Burnley already reportedly admiring Kyogo and Brighton have been mentioned with Hatate.

Back in Glasgow and Brendan Rodgers has signed up one player so far. Odin Thiago Holm is the new playmaker and Marco Tilio will likely be arrival number two as he prepares to jet in from Melbourne City.
