AmaZulu sign 10 new players including Gabadinho Mhango and Dumisani Zuma
Former Orlando Pirates forward Gabadinho Mhango and ousted Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Dumisani Zuma have joined AmaZulu, the club confirmed on Thursday.
A week after Usuthu released several players and two backroom staff members, the club have been working around the clock to bring in fresh faces that can assist newly appointed head coach Brandon Truter next season.
The club announced the signings in a statement with Augustine Kwem (TS Galaxy), Thendo Mukumela (Cape Town Spurs) along with Veluyeke Zulu and Riaan Hanamub (both Chippa United) the other new arrivals for the upcoming season.
AmaZulu also revealed that a further two signings will be made in the process, while two players from the MultiChoice Diski team will be promoted.
"We await the conclusion of a further signing of two players and the promotion of two players from the MDC whom we will reveal as soon as it is possible," the statement read.
"Once concluded, the average age of the 10 new signings will be 25 years. Incidentally, the average age of the 15 players that AmaZulu let go was 30 years.
"AmaZulu wants to build the core of the team with the capacity to compete in the forthcoming season and beyond."
