Amad shares clear Man United verdict after Ruben Amorim's first training session

Manchester United winger Amad was all smiles following Ruben Amorim's first training session in charge of the club this week.

The Ivorian was one of the senior players remaining in Manchester during the final international break of the year so they took part in new head coach Amorim's first session at Carrington on Monday. A mix of senior players and academy stars were put through their paces by the 39-year-old as he looks to prepare the squad for its first challenge at Ipswich Town on Sunday.

Amorim has brought a positive attitude with him to Manchester after enjoying an impressive spell at Sporting and that happiness looks to have rubbed off on Amad. Taking to Instagram, the 22-year-old shared an image of himself smiling at the training ground during his first session with the new boss.

To hammer home the point, the winger included a smiley face emoji suggesting he is more than happy with the new man in charge. Amad would be forgiven for feeling a sense of relief that Erik ten Hag has departed after his role in the first team was reduced this season.

Upon the Dutchman's departure, Ruud van Nistelrooy reinstated Amad to the starting line-ups and repaid his faith with two goals against PAOK in the Europa League and an assist against Leicester City in the Premier League. Such form should make him a contender to start at Ipswich Town on Sunday with Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford also pushing for a starting spot.

Antony will also be hoping a new manager will bring about a change in his fortunes although he is low down the pecking order at present.
