Ally McCoist goads Chris Sutton over Celtic winner as he shoots down crucial Jota goal in 'kids football' quip

Smirking Ally McCoist insists Celtic's winner against Aberdeen took him back to his days as a kid when there were no offside rules.

The race for the Premiership title looks to be going down the the wire as Ange Postecoglou's leaders sit one point above Rangers.

Celtic kept their noses in front during a dramatic win over Aberdeen thanks to Benfica loanee Jota's decisive strike.

But Stephen Glass was left reeling after the full-time whistle insisting the winger was offside at the vital moment.

On BT Sport's Scottish Football Extra, pundit Chris Sutton was keen to put any question marks over the winner to the side.

He said: "The one thing I've always admired about Ally is he's not one of those pundits who gets involved with tittle-tattle and moans about referees decisions.

"I know there was a big song and dance about whether Jota was offside, but there is not many people who have mentioned when Jota was actually onside and tucked the ball away.

"People don't want to talk about that. But all things being equal Celtic deserved that.

"Remember not so long ago when Ally didn't have Jota in his team of the season? Wow.

"He's in Ange's team and that's all that matters.

"Listen things aren't perfect. I think Celtic have vulnerability from set-plays, and Ange said after the game and said they are still a working progress.
