'All driver had to do was say sorry to me - now he's got to face the consequences for his actions'

A cyclist awarded over £4,000 in compensation after a driver crashed into him has said people need to 'own up their mistakes'.

Harry Gray, 29, was hit from behind when he was out cycling in Bolton. He was left injured following the collision - and was left even more stunned by the driver's reaction to the crash when he verbally abused him.

Harry said: “They [the police] weren’t even interested. They attended the scene, but they weren’t bothered at all, they said ‘oh it’s for the insurers to deal with’. I was like ‘great, I’m just an insurance claim on this, my body is just an insurance claim, it doesn’t matter that I was run over.’”
