Alison Hammonds told 'we love you' as she responds to being 'humbled' after loss

Alison Hammond has been flooded with messages of love and support from her fans as she responded to losing out on bagging a National Television Award.

The This Morning star was among the famous faces hitting the red carpet on Wednesday night (September 12) as the star-studded ceremony returned for 2024 at London's O2 Arena.

She was joined by many of her ITV colleagues, including co-host Dermot O'Leary, while she was also seen reuniting with Holly Willoughby following her shock exit from the daytime show last October after 14 years at the helm.

But back to Alison and the former Big Brother star was again nominated in the Presenter category where she was up against Ant & Dec, Bradley Walsh, Claudia Winkleman and Stacey Solomon.

However, despite hopes for Alison to pick up the gong, the silverware once again went home with Geordie duo Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly who were named winners of the award for the 23rd year running.

While The Chase's Bradley hilariously tried to cause a scene and prevent Ant and Dec from heading on stage to collect the awards before swearing in front of the cameras, Alison had a quite response and later took to social media to thank those who supported her efforts.

Alongside a beaming selfie of herself looking stunning in a black and white gown and a suited and booted Dermot, Alison said: "Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who voted for me to be in the category 'best presenter' I’m humbled every time it happens and honestly I never expect to win but losing is kinda cool to cos I’m up there with the best representing."
