Alfredo Morelos bids emotional Rangers farewell to fans as outgoing striker leaves Ibrox with family

Outgoing Alfredo Morelos was snapped during an emotional exit from Ibrox after Michael Beale revealed he will leave the club this summer.

There has been speculation that the Colombian would be departing Govan and following the narrow win over Aberdeen the Londoner has confirmed the 26-year-old is heading out the door. The Colombian has been a key figure in the Scottish Premiership since signing for the club in 2017, where he has netted 78 goals and has become the club's record European goalscorer.

However, he has struggled for form this term and only made the bench during the 1-0 victory over the Dons, and made little impact when he came off the bench. Despite a disappointing campaign, the frontman still received a warn reception from fans as he left Govan with wife Yesenia sharing a video to her Instagram story of the out of contract star leaving the stadium with daughter Leonela.

The striker cut a serious figure in what may prove to be one of his final times meeting with the supporters in Govan. He was cheered by the Rangers fans who chanted his name despite a tough day at the office.

Following the game, Beale said: “Morelos is moving on. I think you saw the difference in energy in the forward area when Morelos came on. And not in a positive way. We'll need a focal point to the team, for sure. Antonio is not fit at the moment. Fashion and Rabbi gave us a different type of frontline today."
