Alejandro Garnacho rinsed by Manchester United teammates after 'leg day' claim on social media

Manchester United youngster Alejandro Garnacho was mocked on social media by his teammates after claiming that he 'never skips leg day' on Instagram.

The 18-year-old Argentine arrived at Old Trafford from Atletico Madrid in 2020. He was the club's third youth acquisition of the summer after Marc Jurado from Barcelona and Alvaro Fernandez from Real Madrid.

Garnacho has made one appearance for Erik ten Hag's side so far this season, coming on as a substitute in the defeat against Brighton on the opening day of the season.

Having impressed for United's youth sides since joining the club, supporters are excited about the youngster's potential - with many likening aspects of his game to teammate Cristiano Ronaldo.

One way in which he is very similar to the Portuguese international is with his dedication to his physique - and he took to Instagram to post about it earlier this week.

Garnacho focused on his leg muscles, uploading a photo of himself striking the ball in training alongside the caption: "No skip the leg day".

However, his post - and specifically his caption - drew a very strong response from his Under-21 teammates, who all took the opportunity to poke fun at him.

They were quick to suggest that, despite his bold claim, Garnacho is not the hardest working player in the Carrington gym.

The likes of Charlie McNeill and Rhys Bennett joked with Garnacho, who will now be keen to post even more about being in the gym after discovering that he can wind-up his teammates.
