Aldi says shoppers could win up to £5,200 if they buy £1 Christmas item

Aldi shoppers could be in with the chance of winning a prize worth up to £5,200 if they buy one particular Christmas item from the supermarket this year.

Customers could get their hands on some extra cash simply by tucking into some of Aldi’s mince pies, which you can get in stores for just over a pound.

Shoppers can pick up a six-pack of Holly Lane Deep Filled Mince Pies for just £1.09, and then scan the QR code on the front of the pack to see if they have won. Prizes include gift cards ranging in value from £20 to £1,000, as well as the top prize of a year’s worth of shopping - valued at £5,200.

The promotion comes as Aldi released its 2023 Christmas advert featuring Kevin the Carrot this week. The supermarket has released a variety of sweet treats featuring the comic vegetable to celebrate.

The new Hollow Milk Chocolate Festive Kevin will be available from November 16 for £1.99, while Kevin Mini Chocolates are also returning on the same date for £1.49. Aldi’s sell-out Kevin the Carrot Advent Calendar has returned to stores.
