Aldi launches Sol de Janeiro perfume 'dupes' – and they cost less than £3

If you're on the hunt for a budget-friendly summer fragrance that will get you compliments, Aldi has got you covered.

Creating a 'scent wardrobe' can often be an expensive endeavour. One of the most popular brands is Sol de Janeiro, but the popular range can take its toll on the purse strings if you're trying to keep costs down.

However, if you're after a holiday scent that will have people asking 'Where did you get that perfume?' Aldi's £2.99 'dupes' are the perfect solution. But you'll need to move quickly.

Returning to shelves on Sunday, August 11, while stocks last, @glasgowgannets advised that you "run to Aldi" to secure one, as they sell out extremely fast. And it's easy to see why.

'Seventy' is a new addition to the collection, offering "fruity top notes of Blackcurrant and Pear, that blend perfectly with vibrant Vanilla, Jasmine and Freesia. With hints of Patchouli, Caramel, and Amberwood on the finish".

While they might not be exactly the same as the Sol de Janiero offerings, shoppers reckon the alternatives are just as good.

Fan favourites 'Twenty-Eight' and 'Thirty-Two' are also set to return. 'Twenty-Eight' "boasts notes of Jasmine, Hibiscus Flower, and Ozone, complemented by tropical hints of Lychee and Dragon Fruit. Suggestions of Vanilla and Musk elevate the finish for a heaven-inspired scent."

'Thirty-two' "is scented with notes of Pistachio, Almond, and Salted Caramel, that meet hints of Jasmine, Vanilla, Sandalwood and Musk for a vibrant freshness."

An avid Aldi shopper, @glasgowgannets, expressed her wish that the supermarket would "stop discontinuing things" wishing instead they'd be available all year round.

Eager customers swarmed the comments section, with one user expressing their anticipation
