Aldi launches new twist on much-loved chocolates that shoppers 'need to try'

Aldi shoppers are going mad for the supermarket's new twist on their much-loved chocolate bars.

The supermarket giant has turned three of its own-brand chocolate bars into a winter warmer that shoppers can't wait to get their hands on. Aldi has launched new instant hot chocolate sachets in three varieties.

The new drinking chocolate comes in three chocolate bar flavours: Jive, Racer and Romeo. Some customers noticed that the flavours appear to be similar to three other popular chocolate bars made by Mars - Twix, Snickers and Bounty.

The new sachets, which come in packs of eight, are on sale for £1.49 a box. The new products were spotted by members of the Facebook group Newsfoodsuk, which has more than 415,000 followers on the social media platform.

One shopper commented: "These Aldi own brand hot chocolates sound nice, I need to try some soon."

Lots of fans seemed keen to try Romeo, a coconut flavoured hot chocolate, with one writing: "Bet the coconut ones are banging. Add some instant coffee and you’ve got a coconut mocha!"

Another said: "Coconut hot choc mmmm, I’ve just tried their bars of chocolate in this version and they're really good too!!"

Someone else, who had already tried the product, said: "I got Romeo really good." Another speculated: "I’m guessing Romeo is gonna taste like Bounty and Racer is gonna taste like Snickers?"
