Alan Shearer raves about Leicester City star who 'can't be stopped'

Alan Shearer has praised Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall for his performance against Crystal Palace, saying he’s a ‘shining light’ of Leicester City’s season.

The academy graduate has impressed since breaking into the team late last year. He is now one of the first names on the teamsheet for Brendan Rodgers after making a big impact in the starting lineup.

Dewsbury-Hall has been made to wait for his first Premier League goal, but that wait came to an end on Sunday when the midfielder scored City’s second goal of the game in the 2-1 win over Crystal Palace, putting a memorable finish past Victor Guaita. He also provided an assist for Ademola Lookman’s opener just six minutes earlier.

In his analysis of the game on Match of the Day 2, former Premier League striker Shearer hailed the recent performances of Dewsbury-Hall. “He was superb, it was his 15th straight start and in that time he’s created more chances than anyone else,” he said.

“In what has been largely a frustrating season for Leicester because of injuries, when that happens, players come in and they’re given an opportunity. The weight of pass there into Lookman is superb, don’t watch the eyes and finds him, absolutely superb and Lookman didn’t let him down.

“(He was) full of running, full of energy, a good weight of pass and he was the one that was making things tick. Demanding, getting on the end of the ball, not afraid to do his little bits as well, little back flicks and what have you.

“He’s been a bit of a shining light I think in Leicester’s tough season. But as I’ve said you get chances to do that and he hasn’t disappointed.
