Alan Brazil continues Jota Celtic transfer troll job as he refuses to let Saudi switch go after 'mercenary' blast

Alan Brazil has taken a fresh swipe at Jota after the Celtic diehard took issue with the winger after his big money move to Saudi Arabia.

The pundit pulled no punches over the Portuguese star’s switch to the Middle East with Al-Ittihad reportedly paying the 24-year-old former Benfica man an eye-watering £10 million a year in wages and spending £25million to tempt Celtic to sell the key man. Brazil has joined a long list of pundits who have been critical of the forward and his decision to leave the prospect of Champions League football behind for the Saudi Pro League.

Raging Brazil branded Jota a "mercenary" for taking the megabucks move away from the Scottish Premiership and took another cheeky swipe at the former Hoops' attacker live on talkSPORT. He was discussing the Saudi millions being splashed to lure players to the Middle East with fellow pundit Gabby Agbonlahor, when the former Aston Villa man conceded he can see why players would take the deal.

Brazil jumped in: “I’m beginning to think you are another Jota. Want a move to Riyadh FM do you?”

A smirking Agbonlahor responded: “I’d hold talks. I mean I wouldn’t mind going over there once a week.”

The quip comes less than 24 hours after Brazil rinsed Jota, stating: "If I'm being frankly honest, for a player like him, it's mercenary. It's horrible what he's done. He's just taken the money. I don't like it. It doesn't matter (how much money he's on). You've got to test your ability and you ain't going to test it out there, let's be honest."
