Air ambulance called as man taken to hospital with head injuries after falling from scaffold

A man has been taken to hospital after falling from a scaffold in Trafford. Emergency services, including the air ambulance, were called to the scene in Sale at around 4.25pm on Friday.

Pictures from the scene show scaffolding strewn across the road having apparently collapsed into the street.

Witnesses said two helicopters landed on the playing fields at nearby Worthington primary school, but it's understood they were not required.
