AEW Dynamite Results: Champions stand tall as CM Punk and FTR victorious in trios action

Last night’s Dynamite after Double Or Nothing was stacked, featuring the likes of Owen Hart Cup Winner Dr Britt Baker D.M.D, Ruby Soho, Wardlow, MJF, and more.

Plus, the new AEW World Champion CM Punk teamed with ROH and AAA Tag Champions FTR in trios action.

AEW World Champion CM Punk and ROH and AAA Tag Champions FTR def Max Caster, Colten Gunn and Austin Gunn-

The match started off with Austin Gunn and Dax Harwood colliding. Austin would very briefly take control but a distraction from fan chants allowed Dax Harwood to take control and quickly utilise tag team manoeuvres with his partner Cash Wheeler.

As the match progressed, AEW Champion CM Punk would get introduced into the match showing some good offence on Max Caster.

However, this wouldn’t be enough as Austin Gunn would get planted by the GTS followed by the Big Rig for Punk and FTR to pick up a huge victory.

Post-match saw Punk and FTR address the AEW fans and the promo finished with CM Punk wanting to find out who is stepping through the forbidden door to face him at AEW X NJPW’s Forbidden Door event. This was revealed to be none other than NJPW legend and Grand Slam Champion, Hiroshi Tanahashi.

MJF Promo-

MJF took to the ring and to the surprise of the AEW fans cut a scalding promo on AEW President Tony Khan. MJF would mention a variety of problems he feels he has personally had in AEW and begged Tony Khan to fire him. ‘The Salt Of The Earth’ made his intentions clear as day during the segment.

Miro def Johnny Elite-

Before the show, Johnny Elite announced that he wanted to make a statement and defeat any AEW wrestler in the back in an open challenge.
