FTR shoot on AEW's ranking system
Recently, ROH World Tag Team Champions and AAA Tag Champions FTR took to Twitter to discuss the AEW World Tag Team Championship picture.
AEW has used a ranking system to keep track of wins and losses. The premise was to reward results rather than reward the title of the wrestler.
FTR has been on a roll as of late in tag team wrestling, and in 2022 they sit at 4 wins and 1 loss in AEW’s tag team rankings.
They have held the ROH World Tag Team Championships since April 1st and have held the AAA Tag Championships for 286+ days.
FTR’s Dax Harwood took to Twitter to discuss the AEW World Championship scene.
The image showed weeks of rankings accompanied by the heading “LOLOLOLOLOLOL”.
Dax posted this after another AEW World Tag Team Championship match was announced between The Jurassic Express, The Young Bucks and The Hardys.
FTR has been number 1 ranked since the 27th of April, whereas The Young Bucks and Hardys have been number 3 and 5 ranked. Therefore it is evident that FTR believes they deserve a shot at the titles to add a third championship to their collection.
FTR recently picked up a victory last night on AEW Rampage alongside Roppongi Vice’s Trent Beretta, defeating NJPW’s United Empire led by the debuting Will Ospreay and Aussie Open.
FTR has held the AEW World Tag Team titles previously after defeating Kenny Omega and Hangman Adam Page at All Out 2020.
However, if they became two-time AEW World Tag-Team Champions alongside the ROH and AAA Tag Team Championships, this would more than cement the TopGuys as the best tag team in the world.
