Adam Thomas told to 'dig deep' after pleading 'please someone tell me' over struggle before Strictly Come Dancing debut

Adam Thomas has been encouraged to 'dig deep' as he shared the sweet moment he got to cuddle his children amid a hectic work schedule. The Waterloo Road actor isn't shying away from being honest about his current juggle between filming for the school-based drama and preparing for Strictly Come Dancing.

Adam, 35, is among the 15 celebrities taking part in the 2023 run of the hit BBC One dance contest and fans will get to see which professional dancers they have been paired with during the launch show this Saturday (September 16) before the competition really begins the following week (Saturday, September 23) with the first live show.

It means this year's crop of celebrities have an extra week to get ballroom-ready as the launch show has already been pre-recorded. And following his latest training session, mixed in with work on Waterloo Road, the Manchester-born star shared a message on social media.

Taking to his Instagram Story with a video, Adam said to the camera: "I feel like I'm just not getting a break at the minute. it's just non-stop. I was at work this morning and had a couple of scenes off [so] in between the scenes my dance partner came to work and I did a bit of training.

"Managed to get in about three/four hours, finished that, went back to work, finished work and now I'm at a dance studio waiting for my dance partner to turn up and will probably be here until about 11 o'clock tonight." Adam, who plays Donte Charles in the rebooted BBC One drama, then laughed before saying: "Please someone tell me when this starts to be fun?"
