Accies boss Stuart Taylor wants Hamilton to get right behind the team

Stuart Taylor wants to improve relationships between Hamilton Accies and their fans, and hopes to get the whole community behind the team.

Taylor says he's working hard to change the culture at the New Douglas Park club, where everything happens collectively, but that includes with the supporters as well.

And he says it can only benefit Accies in the long term.

Taylor has said since coming in to the job this season that he's looking for improvement in every aspect of the club, and that short-term gain isn't the answer.

After Saturday's 1-0 win over Queen of the South put Hamilton up to sixth place in the Championship table, Taylor said there were several pleasing aspects.

He said: "We're here to get better, to improve ourselves. We'll keep working hard and trying our best.

"We want to change the culture, and that's a group thing; if we make a mistake, we all make a mistake, and if we win we all win.

"It's making sure we have that team camaraderie with the players, with the staff, and that's the most important thing - but can we build that with the supporters as well?

"We're representing Hamilton as an area, we're not just a football club. We want to have the community here as well, and knowing that people are turning out in their numbers and getting behind the lads.

"For me, the biggest thing at a football club is that the supporters, the players, and the football club are all in it together. I want that to happen here, and for it to grow and be stronger and stronger.

"We're going to have bad days, but we stick together through it and make sure we all come out in the end, together."
