Aberdeen FC near Richard Jensen AND Jamie McGrath transfer doubler in bid to beat Europa League signing deadline

Aberdeen are seeking to push through a double deal for Richard Jensen and Jamie McGrath before the Europa League playoff deadline.

Aberdeen have agreed a fee with Gornik Zabrze for their central defender and he has been given permission to travel to Scotland to finalise his move. The 27-year-old has nine Finnish caps and will provide Barry Robson with the added defensive option he was looking for. Jensen first came on to the Dons’ radar when he was in Holland. He has had spells at Jon Twente, Twente and Roda JC before he moved to Poland last year. The Dons are also close to finalising a deal for Republic of Ireland international Jamie McGrath. The 26-year-old is heading to Scotland for medical and to seal his deal. McGrath is a free agent after terminating his Wigan Athletic contract over the summer.

He has previously had success in Scotland with St Mirren and had a loan spell at Dundee United last season. Aberdeen hope to have both players signed and registered so they can travel with their squad to Sweden tomorrow. The Dons are set to take on BK Hacken on Thursday in the first leg of their Europa League playoff.
