Aberdeen Europa Conference League squad revealed as Vicente Besuijen pulls short Pittodrie straw
Barry Robson's Aberdeen squad for Europa Conference League group stage action has been unveiled.
The Dons made a whole host of new signings over the summer as Dave Cormack put his money where his mouth is with investments made on the likes of Leighton Clarkson and Pape Gueye, and all 13 of the fresh faces are involved for matches against Eintracht Frankfurt, HJK Helsinki and PAOK.
Only two goalkeepers are named in Kelle Roos and Ross Doohan. One senior star who misses out on the squad is Dutch winger Vicente Besuijen, who spent the second half of last season out on loan a Dutch club Excelsior. Ryan Duncan misses out on making Robson's A-list squad. Aberdeen's campaign begins away in Frankfurt before returning to Pittodrie for the clash with Helsinki. PAOK then arrive in a double-header before closing the group stage with a trip to Finland and hosting of Bundesliga opposition.
