Who will win Frankfurt vs Aberdeen? Our writers predict Europa Conference League opener in Germany

It's been winless domestic campaign for Aberdeen so far.

The Dons kick off their Europa Conference League group stage campaign away to Eintracht Frankfurt. So it's going to take a major upset if Aberdeen are to leave Germany with all three points. Even one would be a fantastic start for the new-look Pittodrie side, who have shown little signs of gelling effectively, failing to register a first Premiership win at the weekend after going down 2-0 to Hearts at Tynecastle. Having seen off Levski Sofia in the playoff round, Frankfurt are unbeaten this season, although have had their fair share of 1-1 draws.

Based on their respective form, it could be along night for the Dandies and the Record Sport team agree.

It is hard to see past the Germans. They are one of the favourites not only for this game but also the tournament. A result or performance in this game could, however, kickstart the Dons’ season.
