Aberdeen braced for Bojan Miovski transfer bids from Serie A as Bologna face fight with Italian rivals

Aberdeen are expecting the first wave of summer interest in Bojan Miovski to come from Serie A.

Bologna have been long-term admirers of their top scorer but the Dons have been alerted to the the fact that there are also several other Italian top-flights who also have him on their wanted lists. Bologna have the cash as they are set to sell Dutch striker Joshua Zirkzee to Manchester United for over £30 million and defender Riccardo Calafiori is also a £40 million target for Arsenal. Aberdeen haven’t had bids yet but are aware that interest is growing in their 26 goal striker and several Italian clubs are likely to start the bidding.

The Dons are in a good position because Miovski still has two years left on his contract. They won’t put an asking price on the North Macedonian’s head and if a club wants to land him then they will need to get into the same ballpark when Aberdeen sold Calvin Ramsay for more than £6.5 million.

Aberdeen have always been clear that if the right offer comes in and it fits their selling model and suits the player then they will make things happen. When Miovski does go Aberdeen will make a major profit on the £500,000 they paid Hungarian side MTK two summers ago.

Bologna has already had success with Aberdeen in the past signing Scottish international Lewis Ferguson, who is currently battling back from a serious ACL injury that saw him miss Euro 2024. The Rossoblu also signed Aaron Hickey from Hearts before they sold them to Brentford in a big-money deal.
