A483 Carmarthen Road closed in both directions after crash - latest updates

Part of the A483 Carmarthen Road has been closed following a road traffic collision. The incident happened during the early hours of Friday on the outskirts of Swansea. A section of Carmarthen Road was shut in both directions, from Pentre-Gethin Road to Gendros Crescent. The incident was reported just before 4 o'clock this morning.

Traffic around the crash site was said to be moving slowly according to congestion tracking sites. An update from the AA website reads: "Road closed due to crash on A483 Carmarthen Road both ways from Pentre-Gethin Road to Gendros Crescent.

"The road has been closed since the early hours of Friday morning." No further details about the nature of the crash are available at this time.
