£67.5m-rated star sends two-word message to Wolves player

A few eyebrows may have been raised by Wolves fans after Jude Bellingham sent an Instagram message to Luke Cundle.

Earlier this March, the 19-year-old signed a new contract at Molineux, putting pen to paper on a deal that will potentially keep him at the club for the next four and a half years.

Taking to Instagram to share his delight at the news, Cundle uploaded a picture of himself with the caption: “4 more years with this great club.”

However, he was not alone in celebrating the news, as Borussia Dortmund star Bellingham, who is valued at £67.5 million (as per Transfermarkt), commented: “Congrats mate.”

While there is no obvious connection between the two players, they may know each other from youth level.

Indeed, with Cundle coming through the Wolves academy and Bellingham coming through the Birmingham City youth setup at roughly the same time, their respective clubs are from a similar part of England in the West Midlands – this would explain why the two might be good friends.

Under Bruno Lage this season, Cundle made his Premier League debut off the bench against Southampton, before managing a 96% pass success rate against Tottenham Hotspur in his next senior outing.

If he carries on like that, and considering the support of England ace Bellingham, he could be one to keep an eye out for in the future.
