30-y/o starts: The predicted Birmingham City XI to play Luton Town

Birmingham City will be looking to bounce back from their midweek defeat to AFC Bournemouth this weekend as they play host to Luton Town in the Sky Bet Championship.

The Blues fell to a 3-1 defeat away at the promotion chasers and will now be desperate to bounce back as they return to the St Andrew’s pitch on Saturday.

A victory for Lee Bowyer’s side could see them move up to 17th if other results go their way across the division, meaning that the Midlands side will be keen to put even more distance between themselves and the bottom three.

They face a Luton side who are on a high after winning their last three games across all competitions as they continue to climb the league standings under Nathan Jones.

Here we take you through our predicted Birmingham City starting eleven for their home game against the Hatters.

Neil Etheridge will once again be between the sticks for the Blues after really establishing himself under the guidance of Bowyer.

Kristian Pedersen and Maxime Colin will slot in either side of Teden Mengi as part of the back three as they bid to keep things tighter than they did on Wednesday at Bournemouth.

In midfield Jeremie Bela and Jordan Graham will act as attacking wing backs, whilst Gary Gardner and Ivan Sunjic will look to dominate in the centre of the park against a Luton side who have played some good stuff this season.

Meanwhile Juninho Bacuna will act as the number 10 as he bids to provide almost constant support to the front two of Scott Hogan and Lyle Taylor – with the experienced pair looking to build up their in-game understanding in order to function well in the games that remain between now and the end of the campaign.
