David Prutton issues score prediction ahead of Stoke City vs Luton Town

Sitting six points outside of the play-offs, Stoke City will be looking to cut the gap when Luton Town visit the Bet 365 Stadium tomorrow night.

The Potters possess an excellent recent record against the Bedfordshire club, with Stoke unbeaten in their last 11 games against tomorrow night’s opponents.

Despite dropping down the table after a strong start to the season, Stoke are currently unbeaten in their last four games, in what has been a relatively difficult set of fixtures.

Luton continue to defy expectations this Championship campaign and are sitting a mere two points from the much-desired top-six places.

Nathan Jones’ side have enjoyed a good start to 2022 and will be looking to continue their push for a play-off place with a positive result in Staffordshire.

Issuing his score prediction via his Sky Sports column, David Prutton believes that the Hatters will run out as 2-1 winners tomorrow evening.

The verdict

Luton’s motivation to break their poor recent record against Stoke is heightened by the fact that current boss Jones embarked on an unsuccessful stint at Stoke three years ago.

The Hatters have been excellent this season, and whilst they lost some integral first-teamer in the summer, their recruitment has been excellent, with the likes of Reece Burke, Henri Lansbury and Allan Campbell all shining.

Stoke still have a chance of succeeding this season and they enjoyed a successful January transfer window.

Despite sitting in 13th, Stoke have a strong squad that are more than capable of entering a sustained period of good form and they will be hoping to make it a fifth game unbeaten against the Hatters.
