3 things we clearly learnt about West Brom after their 2-0 win vs Hull
Steve Bruce picked up his first win as West Brom boss as they beat his former club Hull City 2-0 away from home yesterday.
A dismal start to life at Albion had seen the side drop down the table, with promotion now a big ask.
However, the Baggies kept alive their slim hopes of a top six finish after a good victory against the Tigers thanks to two goals from Karlan Grant.
As well as getting the three points, Bruce will have been delighted with how side performed considering the poor displays they have turned in recently.

Taylor Gardner-Hickman has to play moving forward
There was a good balance to the midfield yesterday and Jake Livermore deserves a special mention as he was probably the best player on the pitch.
But, another to make a major impact was youngster Gardner-Hickman. Many Albion fans have been saying for weeks that the academy graduate needs to play and he showed why.
The 20-year-old brought an energy to the side that was lacking and he was also assured in possession. Simply put, this display means he has to be in the XI going forward.
There is quality in the team
The Albion squad have rightly come in for criticism recently, with some questioning the mentality and ability of the players.
So, this was a timely reminder that Bruce’s squad does contain good individuals at this level. Matt Clarke and Semi Ajayi were solid at the back, Livermore was excellent in the middle and Grant netted twice.
Of course, it’s only one game but it could raise the confidence levels in the group.
