2022 World Cup: How much will it cost fans to watch their team in Qatar?
The 2022 FIFA World Cup out in Qatar is now only a few months away.
For the first time in the tournament’s modern history, the matches will be contested during the European domestic season.
It will also be the first occasion in which the World Cup is hosted in an Asian country, although the location means it will be an incredibly expensive venture for fans of the 32 teams who have qualified.
We’re talking a serious amount of money, particularly for those from nations who’re likely to progress quite far in the tournament.
The folks over at The Punters Page have worked out roughly how much the average fan will have to fork out in order to watch their country at the 2022 World Cup, looking at the potential cost of tickets, flights, hotels, food, drink and more.
They’ve also factored in how likely each nation is to progress to the latter rounds, hence why the Brazil, France, Argentina and England are way ahead of the likes of Australia, Ghana and Japan.
