"100%" - Transfer insider teases Leeds swoop for £29m star Victor Orta loves

Leeds United “love” Adama Traore and will try to bring him to Elland Road if they remain in the Premier League, says transfer insider Dean Jones.

The 26-year-old is currently on loan at Barcelona from Wolves, but it does not look like they will take up their £29m option to buy him permanently.

TEAMtalk recently reported that Wolves are not expecting Barcelona to purchase Traore outright in the summer.

The same outlet states that, as a result, Leeds and Tottenham could now come in for the Spanish winger.

This is not the first time Leeds have been linked with Traore, with 90min claiming that the Yorkshire club were interested in him last season.

According to Graeme Bailey, director of football Victor Orta, who signed Traore for Middlesbrough when he was working at the Riverside, “loves” the Spain international.

Jones thinks Leeds’ long-term interest in Traore could materialise into something this summer, but the football journalist has told GIVEMESPORT that any move likely hinges on Jesse Marsch’s men remaining in the Premier League.

Speaking to GMS, he said: “They love Traore and they’ve wanted to sign him for the past year. So if they stay in the Premier League, I would 100% expect them to at least visit the situation and find out what the terms are around it.”

They obviously have a good chance, with Barcelona seemingly not keen on stumping up nearly £30m for their youth product.

However, as already mentioned, they need to stay in the English top flight, while Tottenham’s reported interest could also make things difficult.

If Traore is available in the upcoming transfer window, it would not be a surprise to see the north London club go in for him
