10 potential Man Utd shirt number changes including dream Bruno Fernandes option

In the modern game, footballers are either desperate to have their favourite shirt number... or they couldn't care less.

They're a big deal at Manchester United, where players want to follow in the footsteps of Eric Cantona, Bryan Robson, Roy Keane and other legends. And there are some iconic numbers up for grabs, with the likes of Paul Pogba and Juan Mata leaving Old Trafford.

But what changes are expected? Here, highlights 10 Red Devils who could bag themselves a new shirt number this summer - including the talismanic Bruno Fernandes, two promising youngsters and a frustrated goalkeeper.

Pogba's exit means the is now up for grabs at United. McTominay is currently wearing the No39, which is hardly a glamorous number (unless you're Nicolas Anelka). The 25-year-old may fancy an upgrade and decide to take Gary Pallister's famous No6 jersey.
