Ronaldo, De Jong, Sancho: Man Utd's 'dream' XI named - fans have reacted badly

Manchester United had a disastrous 2021/22 campaign.

After signing Raphael Varane, Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo, the Red Devils were expected to challenge on all fronts.

But they underwhelmed massively.

They finished sixth in the Premier League and missed out on Champions League football.

The English giants were also unable to get to the latter stages of the Champions League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup.

It’s no secret that United need to strengthen in pretty much every area this summer. They are far behind the best teams in England and will be looking to close the gap.

Erik ten Hag was appointed United boss in May. While United have been linked to every name under the sun this summer, the Dutchman is yet to complete his first signing of his tenure.

There is still plenty of time for the club to do their business, though.
