Paul Pogba sums up Man United career with Ronaldo comments as Bruno Fernandes could take new role

Paul Pogba is certainly ruffling a few feathers with his new documentary. ‘The Pogmentary’ was released on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, and charts the midfielder’s life as his exit from United nears.

Many of the France international’s comments on his treatment from United have not been met too kindly by the club’s supporters, the majority of whom had seemingly turned against him even before his departure was confirmed. Pogba looks to be keen to pin the blame on anyone but himself for his failures at Old Trafford.

And his comments on Cristiano Ronaldo’s return perhaps sum up his second spell with the Reds. Pogba thought the Portuguese ace’s presence would propel him to a first Ballon d’Or – of course, it never panned out that way.

The wait continues for United to make their first signing of the summer, not that the fans need reminding of that. With their rivals already making haste in the transfer window, supporters are growing more and more restless for new arrivals.

Much of the focus at the moment is on Frenkie de Jong and Christian Eriksen. United remain in talks with Barcelona over a potential move for the former, while the Reds are interested in the latter, who is available as a free agent.

Should both make the move to Old Trafford this summer, it could result in a new role for Bruno Fernandes. It’s unlikely there’d be room for the Portuguese in a central role, so he may have to shift elsewhere in the side.
