Part of A470 closed for nine hours after crash
Emergency services were at the scene of what appeared to be a serious crash on the A470 just outside of Merthyr Tydfil on Tuesday night. Both Dyfed-Powys Police and Brecon fire service confirmed their attendance at the collision which appears to have happened at around 10.30pm on Tuesday, February 27. Describing the location of the incident, INRIX traffic monitoring system said: "A470 in both directions closed due to accident from A465 Heads Of The Valleys Road (Cefn Coed Roundabout, Merthyr Tydfil) to A40 (Tarrell Roundabout, Brecon). Traffic is coping well."
