Celtic fans aren't buying the optimism of the Rangers support as the Ibrox summer spending spree continues. But some of the Parkhead faithful are getting a bit twitchy about the lack of signings heading towards the East End of the city. Buying players does not automatically make you better, only time will tell but hopefully you will be stronger. It's become very boring with the season finished in February every season. Brendan Rodgers says ‘never say never’ when it comes to football. I can confidently say the club will never spend that much money on one player." Arrin Geddes, Irvine, said: "I bet Alan Flett wishes his club could do a fraction of Celtic’s ‘bargain basement’ business because if they don’t get the Champions League money the begging letters will surely be sent out. Most of the season ticket money has been spent on unknown quantities, not superstars. Two friendlies in and he’s ready to take on Liverpool again!!"
