Wrexham AFC co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney are set to join thousands of fans for an open top bus parade through the city after the club won promotion to the English Football League for the first time in 15 years.

The Hollywood stars will be in attendance to celebrate the club's remarkable season which saw them clinch the National League title just two years after the actors' takeover. The victory parade, which is set to get underway at 6.15pm on Tuesday (May 2) will head through the city for an hour before ending at the Racecourse Ground, with supporters set to line the streets to get a glimpse of the silverware.

As well as commemorating the achievement of Phil Parkinson's men, the event will be a double celebration after the club's women's team sealed promotion to the Genaro Adran Premier by winning their play-off final. Both Reynolds and McElhenney are expected to be in attendance having revealed their plans to join in with the celebrations during an event for series two of their hit Disney+ documentary Welcome to Wrexham.

Asked where they would be on the night of the Met Gala, Reynolds told Access Hollywood: "We will be in the UK. We have Wrexham business to deal with."In a season full of dramatic moments, each worthy of their own Hollywood script, Wrexham went head-to-head with rivals Notts County for the title and all but won the league after beating them 3-2 last month in a remarkable game that saw ex-Premier League goalkeeper Ben Foster save a last-minute penalty.
