Jack Lisowski advanced to the second round of the World Championship with a tense 10-7 victory over Noppon Saengkham at the Crucible.

Lisowski had a 6-3 overnight lead in this first round encounter after making an electric start as he moved into a 2-1 lead. Ad Saengkham rallied well and made a reply to Lisowski's next two frames, but missed a number of chances to give Lisowski a three-frame overnight lead.
