Football fans have reacted to the appearance of social media celebrity chef Salt Bae at the Champions League final between Manchester City and Inter.

The cook was heavily criticised for being allowed to enter the pitch to join Argentina in their World Cup celebrations. He was pictured holding the trophy aloft, a coveted act that many of the greatest players in the game have never had the privilege of doing.

Turkey native Salt Bae, whose real name is Nusret Gökçe, became famous for his style of spreading salt onto one of his extortionately expensive steaks, that are sometimes crested in edible gold leaf.

However, he has caused a stir among football fans after his antics in Qatar in December. Many were less than excited to see him arrive at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium an hour-and-a-half before kick-off.
