Why VAR did not overturn penalty awarded to Manchester United vs Nottingham Forest

VAR was right not to overturn Manchester United's penalty against Nottingham Forest because of the contact made on Marcus Rashford in the area, according to a former Premier League referee.

Rashford was accused by some of diving against Forest when he broke into the area and appeared to be clipped by defender Danilo.

Analysing the decision on BBC Sport's Final Score, Martin Keown claimed VAR did not see the incident and was shocked it was not overturned.

Likewise, Forest felt they were hard done by after the game but former Premier League official Dermot Gallagher explained why the referee came to the right decision at Old Trafford.
