Tennis icon Andy Murray will earn the chance to secure a signature win against Stefanos Tsitsipas on day five of Wimbledon. The two-time SW19 champion leads the world No.5 two sets to one after a thrilling second round clash was halted 20 minutes before the 11.00pm curfew.
The Scottish hero was rock solid on his serve with both splitting the first two sets with a tiebreak triumph each. But Murray was too much in the third despite wincing in agony and collapsing to the ground before the final point which left him one set from a glory victory.
Onlookers both inside centre court and watching across the globe were engrossed in the action and decision makers at the world's most famous tennis tournament have moved quickly to slot Murray in.
He and his Greek rival will meet as the second match on centre court. World No.1 Carlos Alcaraz is up first against Alexandre Muller, but Murray vs Tsitsipas MK II will be second on the marquee court.
